You forgot Bleach! By Tite Kubo. Not really contemporary anymore, I guess, but it is AmAzInG, I still love to page through my GN's and the series kept me busy for months, a few times already.
Also, Way of the Househusband is cool.
Several things I didn't mention - Bleach!, Death Note, Blue Lock (and sports Manga in general). There's a lot of good stuff out there, old and new!
I loved Deathnote! The series, the movie sucked. Don't know Blue Lock though. But also Black Lagoon, Hellsing... I agree, so much good stuff. ⚔💜
